Art + Landscape in England with the Parrish Art Museum
September 11-15, 2017
5 days | 4 nights
Join Parrish Art Museum Director, Terrie Sultan on an exclusive five-day tour in Somerset and the Cotswolds highlighting contemporary art, architecture, garden design and farm-to-table cuisine.
Visit rarely seen private gardens by noted prize-winning contemporary English designers. Each offers a unique modern perspective, transforming historic English landscapes that have captured the imagination for centuries.
The tour includes insider views of contemporary art and sculpture collections in critically acclaimed buildings designed by leading international architects. We are also invited for an exclusive tour of the influential and innovative art gallery, Hauser & Wirth Somerset. Set in the rural English countryside, the gallery features monumental outdoor sculpture and a celebrated perennial meadow created by Piet Oudolf, the visionary designer of New York’s High Line.
The luxurious base for the first two days is a manor house hotel on a large Georgian estate with an expansive walled kitchen garden, spa, swimming pool and exquisite locavore meals. Moving north we spend our last two nights at a comfortable boutique spa hotel with magnificent views of the Cotswolds.
