Join us this spring for an insider’s view of Somerset and Devon where a vibrant renaissance in rural living is inspiring exceptional contemporary garden design, innovative exhibition venues and a thriving farm-to-table food movement. This trip is a unique opportunity to explore a carefully chosen mix of traditional and contemporary gardens, art and vernacular architecture while relaxing in an area of extraordinary natural beauty. Owners, head gardeners and guest speakers welcome us for private visits throughout.
Highlights include gardens created by influential English designers Arne Maynard and Dan Pearson and the Dutch visionary Piet Oudolf, who is celebrated for his transformation of New York’s High Line. Recognized for their pioneering presentations of contemporary art, acclaimed galleries Hauser & Wirth Somerset and the New Art Centre also host us for behind-the-scenes visits.
Unwind first at a luxurious boutique country house hotel set in rolling parkland and then at a comfortable and secluded Elizabethan manor house. Both hotels have spa facilities and restaurants that specialize in seasonal dining from their abundant kitchen gardens.
